Krakow's tower itself is one of the most striking and oldest buildings in downtown Nuremberg and in addition to our restaurant is a cultural center, an art gallery and a bar. The unusually wide variety of services and facilities is the result of the strong relations between the Polish Krakow and Nuremberg which date back to the Middle Ages. This strong relationship between the two cities was established in 1979, long before the twinning of cities ever became the norm. As a special sign of this intimate involvement a scheme for twinning houses was launched in order to teach the value of partnership to citizens and their guests and so to manifest the closeness in both locations. There is a Krakow House of this kind since 1996 and it is the only Polish house of this kind outside of Poland's borders.
